Sliding Scale for Economic Justice

Below is a breakdown of pricing for a standard 50-minute session. My sliding scale is inspired by The Green Bottle Method by Alexis J. Cunningfolk, which considers class privilege and access to resources—not just income. This model allows me to make therapy more accessible while also sustaining my practice. For it to work equitably, I ask that those with the privilege to pay the full rate do so, making space for others to access lower tiers. You can learn more about this approach and explore guidance on identifying where you might fit at: Worts and Cunning.

Which tier you pay within is something we’ll discuss together. I encourage you to self-select the category that feels most aligned with your circumstances, and placement also depends on availability within each tier. If your financial situation changes during our work, we can revisit your rate together, and I keep a waitlist for the lower tiers if they are full.

Payment is due at the time of each session. I can also provide superbills upon request for insurance reimbursement.

50 Minute Session Rates:

  • Limited income/resources; difficulty meeting basic needs; minimal savings

  • Stable income; meets basic needs but limited discretionary funds; some debt

  • Consistent income; able to meet needs comfortably; moderate savings

  • Financially secure; owns property; discretionary spending available; able to receive financial support from others to pay for therapy (e.g., family members)

90 Minute sessions:

  • Tier 1: $145

  • Tier 2: $205

  • Tier 3: $270

  • Standard Rate Tier 4: $315

90-minute sessions are often a good fit for clients who prefer an every-other-week schedule, or for those seeking the spaciousness to process deeper trauma and emotional work.

Intake Sessions:

The intake session involves additional clinical and administrative time and is billed at 1.5 times the 50-minute session fee based on your sliding scale tier.
